I saw a young couple out on the lake today sharing an inflatable paddle board. The sun was shining and they were having a ball. It looked like somone forgot the paddle, because he was rowing them around using one of those cheap, three piece, aluminum, compact snow shovels that every good Alaskan keeps in their car for when they go in the ditch. It was a great reminder to do what you can with what you've got. Life is short and summer is shorter.

Someone broke into the town cop shop last night and stole the wheels off all four cruisers. The police are working tirelessly to catch the perpetrator.

Father's day is coming up, or Non-gestating Parent Day for those of you caught behind enemy lines. This year get your dad something he can actually use, the best damn weed wacker line this side of the the Mississip, Oregon Magnum Gatorline. It'll go through pushki, fireweed, rhubarb, roses whatever you got.
