🇬🇧 Post 1 – What is Bitcoin 💡 What is Bitcoin and why it’s different from regular money Bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency, created in 2009 by Satoshi Nakamoto. Unlike traditional money (dollars, euros…), Bitcoin is not controlled by any bank or government, but runs on a network of computers called the blockchain. What makes it special: • 🔹 Decentralized: no central bank can print more bitcoin at will. • 🔹 Limited: there will only ever be 21 million bitcoins. • 🔹 Transparent and secure: all transactions are public and protected by cryptography.
