LibreNostr v0.5.0 is out 🧅
Tried to integrate support to TOR via Orbot, much like Amethyst did in its earlier steps.
Added new "Tor" entry in Settings routes everything through Orbot's SOCKS proxy instead of connecting directly:
→ Relays, zaps, media uploads
→ Image loading, media downloads
→ Video and live-stream playback (ExoPlayer)
→ Embedded link previews (WebView)
Since many of you guys run a VPN, like God commanded us to, it's a feature off by default.
You'll need to download Orbot obviously and set up your connections properly if you already have a VPN app, but I'll let you and a search engine figure that out.
One honest caveat: toggling it requires a real restart to take effect (force-stop from Android settings if a wallet/signer notification is keeping the app alive, not just swiping it away) — every network client in the app is a long-lived singleton built once at startup, so there was no clean way to make it instant without a much riskier rewrite.
Also fixed: for some reason, a total revamp of the UI messed up the zap button, maybe it wall all the shitcoinery going around these days lol

LibreNostr v0.3.2 is out: note translation now runs fully on-device — no server, no API key, nothing ever leaves your phone. It's still a bit slow, working on it.
Powered by Mozilla's own Bergamot/Firefox Translations engine. Covers every EU language plus Chinese, Japanese and Maltese. Language packs (a few MB) download on demand, with your confirmation and then it works offline afterward.
