"Traditional social media treats users like babies in the car seat pretending to drive. While you might be having a ball of a time, pretending to turn left and right and “affect” the process, the truth is you’re only along for the ride. You are at the mercy of the algorithms, and whatever it feels will keep you on the site longer and get you to engage like a mindless NPC. Decentralised social media puts you in control." Amazing article by @TheBitcoinManual 🤙🏻

When we were visiting Bucharest this past August, my wife @npub1j7ae...x9qc and I came up with a list of the most beautiful towns we have ever visited. We are Italians, so the list is heavily packed with Italian cities, but there are some great foreigner gems. Feel free to share you own list 🤙🏻 #growstr image

My Wife finally decided to get on Nostr and she did it by publishing her art for the first time in here. This is a big step for her since her job is basically the opposite of being creative and inspired, so it's not in her wheelhouse to be so open about it, maybe anonymity help. Nostr fixed this for her 😂🤙🏻 (I helped her set up shop in the marketplace and I must admit it's awesome, this ecosystem is surprising me everyday) View article →

Did my own research. With 700GH/s this Bitaxe thing is a toy. In the @`OCEAN`pool it would have just a 0,000021% oh hashrate's share. Basically nothing. But. Apparently it contributes significantly to the decentralization of the process of bitcoin mining. People way smarter than me (like Luke Dashjr and many others) made a big deal of this issue and as far as I can understand, it makes sense. If having a single entity ruling over the 51% of the nodes is a centralizing issue, why would we want 3-5 gigantic competitors finding the majority of the blocks? Bitaxe apparently fixes this, one drop at the time (just like in bitcoin fashion). For this reason I'm convinced to buy a Bitaxe Supra (find this website, certified by the same people that make the Bitaxe https://bitronics.store/product/bitaxe-supra/) I still am not sure whether I'll join a pool like Ocean (open source and permissionless) or I'll solo mine. I guess both instances work in favor of decentralization, so I'll decide when the thing comes in the mail. View quoted note →

Alright I'm considering buy a #bitaxe but I still gotta study whether it's worth it or not. Anyone already has it and can share their experience with it?

I find myself always going back to Amethyst despite liking it a bit less than Primal. Primal is great for a UI standpoint, elegant, fast and eyecandy. Amethyst is more complete, it has a better zap integration with other wallets (WoS is a great example) and it interacts better with communities, lives and other cool nostr stuff. I want to like Primal more, but it has a some way to go before reaching its maturity.
