React to this if you want new Pokey release
I just had the most cypherpunk idea for a project I'll ever had and I confirmed that it's possible to implement, maybe for 2025.
As reported by @Vitor Pamplona , Pokey seems to overtake available connections on your device if you have too many relays on your list, making other nostr apps to struggle with the space left.
The reason is that Pokey indiscriminately connects to all your relays.
I'll test a first approach making Pokey to be restrictive with the connections, but that involves you need to make sure to have a curated DM and public inbox list. Double check if your favourite client takes care of that.
I have on the backlog to add support to directly manage this lists also from Pokey, but there is still a lot of other stuff to work on.
I just implemented NIP-42 for Pokey. But there are a couple of fixes I want to do before another release.
And I'll probably include events broadcasting to other apps.
Apart from that, I have:
- Use built-in Tor engine
- Multi-account
- InBox Relays management
What am I missing?
What about a "Broadcast to Citrine" button for Pokey?
