#[0] I was just testing out sending private messages over a relay and I have some info: If my mutual relay with the private message receiver is temporarily offline while I am typing messages to them, they will not receive any of the messages that I sent and the relay does not seem to notice and send the messages once back online. The result is the receiver of my messages doesn't receive the message and I am unaware as the sender that they did not receive the message. I'd suggest something to make it clear that the private message you sent has not been broadcast over any mutually shared relays and perhaps an option to 're-send' messages that are flagged as 'not been broadcast'. I hope that makes sense, happy to clarify but thought this may be useful for you to know.

The Church and it's monopoly on writing and reading, and subsequently the invention and distribution of the printing press is comparable to the current state of the internet. The church is tech monopolies such as facebook, google. The printing press is nostr/lightning. With the distribution of a brand new technology, the access to that tech stack that before was guarded by rent seekers...comes emergent behavior and value across every aspect of human interaction. These are revolutionary times...

Got an email from my utility company asking me to complete a survey and they would add me to a drawing for a gift card. Got me thinking how it is inevitable that such a model dies and is replaced by paying me, on the spot, for my time and attention via sats over lightning in order to complete your survey. Unnecessary intermediaries are removed, better survey participation, win-win ensues. Its going to happen everywhere when you start thinking about it 😎
