All of their defenses have been burned to ash. (forgive some obvious errors in the logos etc. You know what I'm trying to say.) image

It just dawned on me that advertisers will use Bitchat for localization of ads targeting different demos. Either we let legacy in to try and enshitify it or we take the lead. I can see it now: "Hey @#c29 and @#c23! Have you heard of the Bitcoin And Podcast? I'm doing a special show on Bitcoiners in the Cascade Mountain Range. Be sure and tune in!" I write that here on nostr and @#c29 and @#c23 blasts it to the #c29/#c23 regional Bitchats in Washington State which includes the Cascade Mountains. Watch out . . . things gonna get really weird. image

Updated Bitchat and wow! This is going to be extremely useful. For exactly what (aside from already discussed use cases) I don't know but the potential for about 300 different directions is there.

There doesn't seem to be a geohashing app for iPhone.

The best part of Bitchat using geohashing is that I now know that geohashing exists. I had heard of geocaching (which is a natural fit to gamifying aspects of geohashes) but I had never heard of geohashing itself before and it's fascinating. I've had a long love affair with maps, mapping, GIS etc but I've only ever used Lat/Long for location finding. This geohashing thing is such an easier way to think about locations.
