As Bitcoin's value climbs higher, an interesting trend emerges: the daily creation of new #Bitcoin addresses is on a noticeable decline. This pattern reveals a critical aspect of the current bull run—it appears to be driven more by the hands of institutional investors than by the enthusiasm of retail traders. https://stacker.news/items/428119/r/halalmoney

The more I think about it, the main reason the shills do not use good arguments against Bitcoin is because it really exposes the state and the criminal activity it perpetrates. Bitcoin brings out the real incentive models at play. It exposes the truth. Bitcoin is a flood light exposing the rats in our society. Those who are rent seekers. Those who are robbing the rest of us. Those that are creating the problems they claim to be solving. https://stacker.news/items/427798/r/halalmoney?commentId=427813

NgU technology is wonderful when, well, number goes up, but I think your conviction as a Bitcoiner only shows when you're deep down in a bear market. It is harder then to defend against critics, even if you know that eventually number will go up. NgU also incentivizes newbies adoption, but your conviction also shows when you choose not to sell it high but hodl. https://stacker.news/items/425368/r/halalmoney?commentId=425516

Real estate or rent price increases aren't even included in the inflation calculation, despite constituting 30-50% of the monthly incomes of most households. View quoted note →

When you stop and think about it "The Power of Nightmares" really is what keeps people engaged in politics today. Few politicians actually have new ideas or even a positive vision for the world. At best, they try to sell stopping the nightmares from coming true. Whether it is stopping some evil power in the world or stopping humanity from destroying the planet. These are all reactive movements. Without the nightmares why would the masses listen or even care. https://stacker.news/items/425086/r/halalmoney

The reality is that until the dollar is no longer the world reserve currency, it really does not matter how much spending happens and the debt is also not a concern. The entire system is built on avoiding deflation, not balancing against it. Inflation means you're getting that debt spiral no matter what. The only difference is how quick. https://stacker.news/items/424890/r/halalmoney?commentId=424958

Adds a coin selection algorithm that minimizes the weight of the input set while creating change. … Given a wallet with sufficient funds, CoinGrinder will pick the minimal-waste input set for a transaction with a change output. The current implementation only runs CoinGrinder at feerates over 3×long-term-feerate-estimate (by default 30 ṩ/vB), which may be a decent compromise between our goal to reduce costs for the users, but still permit transactions at lower feerates to naturally reduce the wallet’s UTXO pool to curb bloat.
