I see it as decoupling factfinding with entertaining opinion about those facts. Once a system of shared fact verification based on reputation / trust networks allows us to be on the same page as to what is true, all that remains is to choose what virtual living rooms we sit in to discuss those facts or listen to others discussing them in an entertaining or enlightening way.
