November 11 is a Remembrance Day in a lot of countries, related to First World War. In Latvia it’s also memorial day for soldiers, but for different reason - in November 11 1919 during Latvian War of Independence Riga was liberated from the forces of West Russian Volunteer Army (combined force of German and Russian soldiers).
