Today I take control of keeping my computer clean of ALL leftover files, especially of iOS apps on a mac. I choose what stays and I choose what goes. So I came up with a little bit of shell scripting. Do not believe those silly instructions like "drag the app from /Applications/ to Trash". I shall not be defeated by a keyboard! #MagicKeyboard is all I should need, but I couldn’t understand how nobody online has figured out (at least that I could find) how to modify that top right Eject key without installing apps that might cause kernel panics or have other bugs. No, I had to figure it out. Down the rabbit hole into HID usage codes and understanding what on earth are consumer one shot control keys as opposed to the normal keyboard keys… and I emerged into an alternate reality where I found the secret code to access that darn thing. Now I control it 😈 Take that, #Apple.
