im glad i never got a job in tech. i still love programming and tinkering. i love weird, fun tinkering hacker culture. “Developer” culture makes me want to throw up in my mouth a little.

finding identity in being the one who has hot takes and speaks truth to power is a losing proposition. its only an activity you engage in sometimes when it’s necessary. it cant be who you are, or you’ll start seeing conspiracies and enemies behind every rock. there are enough real ones to not have to invent them for a sense of purpose.
