just used mkstack to create a nostr directory app. fucking blows me away how many working nostr features i get out of the box. cost me around 9 usd on openrouter. i get the whole nostr sign in with extension shenanigans, submitting notes to a relay and then reading them in right away. plus the whole ux is way smoother than i would have manually created it agonizing over tailwind. am i ready for the one command deploy?

the public/private divide discussed by thomas nagel where we all maintain a "public self" that operates under certain standards while preserving a private realm where different norms apply... makes me think separate and many npubs could be the way to go for building privacy preserving apps on nostr.

anyone else reading privacy is power? i like the analogy of private data to toxic waste that should be produced sparingly and handled with the utmost care.

"[...] the currency that funded the web was traffic. The problem is that as we switch from search engines to answer engines, that currency is going away. And so we've got to figure out some other way to compensate those content creators to make the content which is what fuels fundamentally the web and and even what fuels these AI engines [...]" - Matthew Prince, CEO of Cloudflare
