Thanks for writing this thoughtful piece! I'm wondering, since NIPs are not needed in Nostr, but desirable for interoperability, is it not most likely that NIPs will be forked wildly anyhow? Then we'll have microcosms on Nostr, without interoperability and someone will have to build bridges, sort of like between blockchains.
