Bloomberg journalist interviewed me about stablecoin usage in Southeast Asia. She was very thankful and said it is quite difficult to find someone to be interviewed for some reason. I think the reason why is quite obvious. This is a privacy oriented space.

I genuinely think the singular, unchangeable "private key" model is a serious problem for Nostr’s future. It is one thing to ask bitcoiners to use private key, they basically just need to hold it, and switching accounts or keys has no major downside. But #Nostr is a social space where you often need to carry your login across devices and across apps, and being a social space, your social history matters a lot and has to be carried along with you. Unlike Bitcoin, you can’t just rotate your private key and start fresh. Doing so means abandoning your followers and your entire identity tied to the old account. So all it takes is one random hack, or one mistake from you, and all the social capital and work you've built under that one Nostr "private key" is gone? What a terrible model.

Let's say my account got compromised somehow and the hacker managed to get hold of my private key. At this point I would assume I need to migrate my account elsewhere to a new key, because unlike centralized application I cannot simply "change my password" in #nostr. The private key system is set in stone and unchangeable. My question is there an app to help me migrate everything I have from one key to another key? #asknostr

Out of all the #Nostr Twitter clients I’ve tried so far (Damus, Primal, Jumble, Ditto), Jumble has been hands down the best in terms of ease of use, simplicity, and connectivity. I love their strong focus on relay control and transparency. You can see which relays each post comes from, and explore them, thus increasing discoverability of posts. In Primal, for example, most of your feed will just come from people you follow, so this can quickly create a bubble. Tell me, is there any client better than Jumble that I haven't tried yet? #asknostr

The reason why I can yap however I like about Pharaoh is because he didn't ask me to sign an NDA. Like I said, the dude keeps failing upwards. Incredible amount of luck on his part, too.

Looking at the Bitcoin chart today and I'm like... ehhh, I'm not sure we can hit 150K without breaking historical precedent, to be honest with you. We've got roughly one month left. When Pharaoh dumped everything and spooked every single analyst in the world, it turned into a massive resistance line. What a terrible place to sell, so typical of him, always failing upwards. If you could believe it, I actually told him directly that if he sold his holding, he could possibly single-handedly kickstart a bear market, I guess he did not believe me or did not give a shit, and so here we are. Personally, I think we could've hit 170K easy if he hadn't spooked the market, but now, I don't think we can even reach 150k.

Started watching Shogun. It was on my watch list for the longest time, never had the time for it, and I still don't, but trying to sneak it in my schedule.

I've tried multiple LN wallet to connect to my #Nostr account and so far I must say, Rizful has been the easiest, lightest, fastest to setup and connect. Meanwhile Zeus has been the sexiest wallet so far (but a bit too slow for me, IMO). Everything else is somewhere in between these two (Alby, Wallet of Satoshi, etc). Well, just my 2-sats from a user's perspective.

I analyze risk for a billionaire for a living, and let me tell you, we live in an increasingly fragile world. The violence that you see around you? This is just the beginning. There is no going back to a less violent world, because there is nowhere left to run anymore. Moving away from a world dominated by complexity to a much simpler one will be a painful process, not all of us will make it through.
