When he talks to the auto industry workers, do we think he's doing his homework and saying anything super insightful, well-informed, or thought-out, which showcases his nuanced understanding of their issues? The Nashville speech was just Trump doing his usual thing, the usual way. What matters is that he was there, and he and his people are engaged with us. It really is a big deal, and is not the let-down you think it is.
