This is a pretty critical point.
Nostr flies under the radar because it is small and not prominent in elite circles. Professors and CEOs of major companies aren't organizing their social meet ups on nostr.
The more prominent nostr gets, the more scrutiny it will receive, with all the government pressure that scrutiny implies. The decentralization will offer greater resilience than other systems, but it isn't a panacea either.

This is such a silly argument. The issue is that Brits disarmed themselves, then imported a foreign barbarian horde that hates them. The nature of the weapon doesn't matter and focusing on playing a weapon-ban wack-a-mole is a waste of time and completely missing the real point.

Update: Did google make installing graphene functionally impossible lately? Every driver isn't the right one, graphene booter can't recognize the device, OEM is unlocked but still shows "locked" in fastboot mode.
I have a strong suspicion this is just google trying to frustrate people out of switching to graphene. View quoted note →
For anyone setting up @GrapheneOS on a pixel: did you have any issues getting your eSIM set up? And did you need to set up the eSIM via Google’s base system first? Or just straight to graphene?
I will be getting my first device with @GrapheneOS availability and will be doing much more in Nostr as a result soon. I’ve been looking into two things and wondering if anyone here might have a better idea than me (probably the case) for two things:
1) a wallet that is NOT primal or alby or KYC that does BTC, sats, and monero (idc about anything else), and has NWC
2) an alternative to flotilla for Discord-like functions on Nostr.
What the hell is the point of flotilla being a “nostr project” if they are going to expressly gatekeep and “review your submission”?
