Weaponize your mind and (re)build your own empire. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. image

Speak the truth or make your peace somewhere way ... Godsmack Truth isn't aggressive. Its typically meek and humble. Something to ponder.

Had a weekend project to do on Sunday afternoon. Needed Dad to call when I went to Lowes. Called my brother instead and we, guessed our way though and worked it out. Went home and completed the said project while thinking of the countless projects Dad and I did together. After frustrations and patience, I completed the project and vowed to never do another project on a Sunday ever again.

I rejected Louisiana Wallet before Digital ID was implemented by Apple, and will refuse Digital ID for as long as breath is in my lungs. Samsung Wallet can eat a bag of stale roasted peanuts too.

Today was a very long day for us all. Dad passed this morning between 9 and 10am. He suffers no more and his body glowed like a saint after departing. The spots and blemishes he once had were wiped away. Big Kahuna, rest easy🤙 #humuhumunukunukuāpuaʻa

The 26th was day 1 on hospice. They say it's typically 5 to 7 days for patients to padd. The 29th may be significant. The 1st surgery was 08/29/2024, and the 2nd surgery was 11/29/2025. All the grandchildren visited him today. This week will be difficult but expected. We will celebrate his life as we've leaned a lot from him. "Don't cry for me Argentina," a quote of him many years ago after he saw the movie. Thank you, Dad, for everything. 🩶 View quoted note →

American health care, or lack thereof, is a fucking joke. If they treat you, they will be on your ass .... low hanging fruit for them to collect from the insurer(s). If you need something out of the realm of being treated for the symptoms, best of luck! You are on your OWN. At this point, I am convinced that AI would provide much better healthcare than these human garbage charlatans. Focal seizures; blood clot in the leg, and now at the ER getting tests and another MRI ... only because the care he was getting was insufficient to his illness. After his 2nd surgery, Medicare was to blame for him not seeing the cancer doctor and no follow up with the surgeon. They shuffled him to extensive rehab, where they worked the shit out of him to the point of him crying. Then they discharged him to a nursing facility where he got rough care by Laquita, Tanique, and other nurses. This morning, I saw from the camera I had placed in his room how rough she was. She hid her face in a red hoodie as she changed his briefs. Dad screamed several times. It infuriated me. Don't get me wrong, there were some great nurses too along the way. However, I've seen enough and he would rather pass peacefully than deal with all of this bullshit. When he speaks to us, it's a bunch of gibberish, and then he clearly asks, "do you understand?", or "okay?" He has not recovered from surgery and has gotten worse, but "he's not hospice ready" yet. If it were legal, he would want us to put him out of this torment and misery and give him the decency of being left alone to die peacefully. Insurance has us all by the fucking balls. "Why are y'all doing this to me?" was one of the questions he asked when he could speak, but doing so took a lot out of him. American Health Care, or lack thereof, is a fucking joke, and it's very much protected by a rigged system. Bitcoin fixes this. I hope things get better from here on out and Dad does not linger like this until his death ... and may it be peaceful. In the meantime, I have over 2,000 docs and counting to submit to the VA for him and mom. Thought I'd take a little break and note an update. -- Big Kahuna's #humuhumunukunukuāpuaʻa More real testimonies about the American medical system: https://www.reddit.com/r/rant/comments/1aqtuxc/the_american_medical_system_is_a_complete_joke/
