Got a glimpse of peace this evening on my way home from visiting with Dad. We met with some angels today and identified new items to work on together.

Tonight, Dad looked at me frightened, said my name and asked me to help. We held hands and talked until he calmed down. The feeling of not being able to stop this cancer, despite all out efforts, pains me immensely. I just keep telling myself that we will make him as comfortable as we can when he comes home. Medicare is a cluster fuck, and the VA is slower than sloths and worthless. "Hey young men, come fight for your county and Uncle Sam will take care of you." Horseshit! Young men should tell their recruiters to wait wile they chase their careers, raise their children, and then serving will be considered. Dad served in the Army, reinlisted in the USAF, and then became a reservist. He served, and served some more. He traveled the world, brought home stories and souvenirs. Never did he complain about serving, not once. We snuck him some homemade rum balls in a Christmas tin. He and the fellas enjoyed them. The warthog was their baby. Although he is still here, the grieving process started late August. I suppressed it when it comes. Sometimes I can't help it while other times I fight it. I can't do it yet. There is still work to do for him and Mom. Be strong 💪🏼 and shine your ✨️. In the meantime, anger festers, mainly at insurance and the VA. Angels do exist. We've seen some mountains move, just not the mountain in his head.

Bucket List item ... #Paramotoring - this is definitely something I'd like to do. Its as high as hot air ballooning, which I've done with Dad in Phoenix, a memory that will stay with me forever. We had breakfast in the gondola above the clouds. High up as we were, we could hear the dogs below barking. They looked like tiny dots, but their barks were loud. It was cold up there. Little memories like this is a great hit of dopamine. Anyone on Nostr does this?

I fell in love with New Orleans Jazz when I heard Astral Project at Snug Harbor with my mother-in-law. Their sound was so mesmerizing that you felt like you were astral projecting. Harmonically rich in dynamics and texturally atmospheric, they brought it all together and delivered. Johnny Vidacovich is a helluva drummer too. He plays the same sober as he does drunk, to perfection. James Singleton danced with his double bass and in sync with Vidacovich. These two were a perfect pair. If you have never heard of this band, check them out. My favorite album of theirs's is Elevado.
