Classic example of "butBUTbutBUT dEvElOpMeNt Is EaSyyYyyyY!!11!1!!"

I have spent my fair share reading and compiling libretro cores. Whilst I won't claim to know everything, I am not talking out of my ass and if I could be arsed, would happily link `libretro.h` references.
idk why im so pissed, by the way. <.> It just kinda triggers me for no apparent reason other than "oh my god please dont"

I noticed that if I click Like on Primal, it actually doesn't send the event. I have to re-like on Amethyst.
what the heck? How is Primal, after such a long time, still so broken? O_o
Come on guys, get your act together...
I am so tempted to just lean in hard and just bring back my beloved Yii but in Go, for a fucking lark. :D
Like sure, it can't have the same syntax because that's just not how Go does stuff, but heeeecc I might as well try and see how far I get before my mind implodes lmao.
By the way, I mean Yii 1.x - not any newer one. This one.

Whenever I see a "do decentralized!11!!!!1!!" post, I check their profile and look at their Lightning address.
Often tells you all you need to know. :p
I have to "reconsider" MVC - not in terms of implementing, but as a concept, and it is mad fun. templ does not have real fragment rendering - it just renders everything or nothing - and htmx kinda likes the idea of only receiving what it needs.
So I am looking at things like "sub paths" or other "hacks". It's very fun - the people that made Nextjs and Nuxtjs have been there, which is why they have crap like odd filenames and such. It sure is ... interesting. ^^
I am trying myself at making a "Controller" (and called it a "Contraption" because lol) that can handle both in a very Go-way.
So much fun ^-^
Sometimes, not very often but at very certain moments...

Holy fuckshit, did I actually legit dodge a bullet not learning to write backends in TypeScript?! O_O
Good morning. o.o
The weather is changing and my whole body is not enjoying it - the ambivalency in my psyche is hardcore; somewhere between highly motivated, extremely sleepy and also kinda "aphatic"? Its so weird x.x
Its like, I wanna curl up under my blankets for two weeks straight but I also wanna do more code, like even more than usual. aaaaaa xD
This perfectly encapsulates my state of mind.
I FELT this video. Like, holy crap. That's me!!! :0
I "hate" react because it overcomplicated the small things I wanted to do and introduced massive hurdles where none should have been. I am a backend guy, this is where I live and thrive. HTMX is my solution, together with low-JS solutions like Alpine and DataStar.
Shit, I feel read like a book but also ssssoooooooo validated.
I never played this game or any of the franchise.
But a friend of mine just told me, "Nomura was in this" with the subtext of, "he ruined it." XD
I have NO IDEA why Nomura's time travel/parallel timelines/universes bullshit is accepted by game makers - don't they see it's shit? xD Like, actually, genuenly??
FF7 Rebirth was a pile of stink. It had it's good moments, but if a big plot point from the previous game is resolved here in a MISSABLE side quest then...idk...wtf are you doing?
And by the end its like, has Cloud killed Aerith? Or Sephiroth? Or is she alive? Can only Cloud see her? Why does he see a dark sky and the others do not? And this and that...and it all hinges on Nomura's multiple timeline setup that began by the end of the first game and was introduced by the Whispers going as far as to reviving Barett. o.o
I first got to "meet" Nomura in Kingdom Hearts 3's ending and it /bothered/ me so much - you effectively play the ending twice, and technically even THRICE because of this time travel shit.
Who asked for this? Why is he in so many games now? Why is that the only trope he can (**and will**) do? Literally ruining games over here...
I used to be sentimental when I heared Aerith's theme play. Now? Crickets. It's still a nice theme but I wish I could delete FF7 Rebirth from my memory. Remake was...fine... but Rebirth did me in good (or, bad...).
So let's see what the man did to Parasite Eve, a very classic franchise.
How much did he ruin it?
#asknostr #devstr I know Rollup can "bundle" HTML pages that link scripts. But how do I:
- Make it create a dist/ folder,
- Copy the HTML over,
- Rebuild the script tags to use type=text/javascript instead of =module (I have devices that ARE this old xD),
- Transpile the linked JS down into an ES5 IIFE so it stays selfcontained,
- Write that result to the dist/ folder?
I just want this to be my shell, use go:embed to put the whole dist/ folder into my app and do everything else using templ? I really just need the bundling and transpiling aspect to "make a shell". o.o
Got ideas? ^^
(The bundle will contain htmx, alpinejs and perhaps an extension or two as well as my CSS of choice.)
So htmx is for requesty things. Having a blip in your menu bar that dynamically shows if you are or arent logged in.
And Alpinejs is for making things more interactive. You have a page with a blog post and while the Like button is a HTMX request, the comment section has markdown support and thus Alpinejs is used to render that.
I think.
I have just finished reading the htmx docs and my mind is blown. There are many, many possibilities that htmx does, that don't even require code. Like, schema validation in forms. Just return a new form with the flipping errors. xD Like, BRUH. Thats so simple, its stupid.
Wonder where DataStar fits in there, if at all. But i reeeeeally like learning this hypermedia approach - or, "no-js movement" as some blogs/articles call it. Its so cool. Like, not kidding. I just have to ensure i am not bombarding the backend _too_ much - guess this is what datastar is for, or alpine, to do some stuff on the client, but only what really needs to be there.
Aaaaaaaaa this is so cool 0.0
For starts, I might try making a Nostr HTMX extension that just displays an npub's k:1 events with a selectable list of relays. Might be fun for embed stuff... however, I'd love to somehow share existing websocket connections - will get there at some point. A "real" nostr htmx extension will come - but I need to figure out how to dynamically re-initialize or change it's values, I might need to use Alpine for that? idk yet, but once HTML props are set, you'd have to destruct and construct new elements in it's place. Feels a little jaggy. o.o
But for a smol embed feed for nostr events? Oh I think this could be quite nice =)
Guess im learning alpinejs.

Yes, the example code is completely borked for DataStar - and HTMX wants server-side-only. Nostr runs on the client for a reason x) So Alpine is the one to get me mostly there? Alright, you have my full attention now.
Let's go.
