Pro tip: Recording When recording, always make sure to set your clip gain and be aware of your surroundings. Minimize your exposure to background noises like loud neighbors, air conditioners and fans, or anything that may bleed into the background of your recording. pro tip: reverb bus Reverb can add depth and space to a track or audio file. But did you know it physically changes the audio when placed on the same channel? when adding reverb, try putting the verb plug in on an aux track or bus, then send your audio channel to the reverb channel until the desired outcome is reached. This gives you total control of the amount of verb (or any plugin for that matter) being mixed into the audio. Not only will this make the mixing process easier, but you could also use this bus to add the same type of verb to other channels as well such as all of the drum channels, with out having to recreate the verb everytime. Pro tip: listening in mono Listening in mono versus stereo can be beneficial. you will hear how other people will hear your song when using cheap headphones or speakers. not every medium your fans listen to will have stereo sound. this can cause some phasing issues if not taken care of properly! always utilize multiple sets of speakers or headphones when mixing to hear how your song may sound on someones cheap headphones versus some expensive studio monitors. and always use a phase meter! #audioproductiontips #music #independent #artist
