Some dude asked me if I’m sure I wanna post on the same protocol for the rest of my life. Brother, Nostr has sixty different clients. I’m not posting on the same app for the rest of my life — most days I don’t even know which one I’m using. It’s both incredibly fun and absolutely terrifying. Of course I’m gonna stick with it.

Every person lives inside their own version of reality. We spend our lives trying to make sense of something that might never have a reason at all. Our minds can’t survive without meaning. So we create it. We build mental models — invisible maps that help us navigate the world. They’re not the truth; they’re tools. As Immanuel Kant suggested, we don’t see reality as it is, but as our minds allow us to see it. It’s how humans cope with chaos. We rationalize, justify, and construct stories to make things seem coherent. Viktor Frankl, who found purpose even in the darkest places, said that those who have a “why” can bear almost any “how.” But the universe doesn’t care. Stars explode. Civilizations rise and vanish. In a few seconds — or a few billion years — everything we know will be gone. Albert Camus called this the absurd: the clash between our hunger for meaning and the silence of the world. And yet, we keep searching. For me, what makes sense is the idea of balance. Life feels like a network of feedback loops — competition and cooperation, freedom and responsibility. I see it through the lens of game theory, as John von Neumann described, or through Darwin’s principle of evolution: systems adapt, improve, or fade away. To me, it all fits together — a vast equilibrium shaped by action and consequence, by supply and demand, by trial and error. But I know these are just my own models. As Thomas Kuhn wrote, every worldview has its own internal logic. What makes sense inside one paradigm may seem absurd inside another. Each of us carries a private philosophy, a story that feels true because it helps us live. Maybe wisdom isn’t about finding the ultimate truth. Maybe it’s about recognizing that our truths are temporary, and choosing to live gracefully inside them.

I was offered sex today by a beautiful woman. In exchange I was supposed to advertise some kind of social network on my nostr account. Of course I declined, because of my will power and strong morals. Which are just as strong as Mastodon, the best decentralized social network. Available on iOS and Android.
