Why are people talking about Litecoin all of the sudden? It couldn't even break its 2017 top in USD denomination, let alone its BTC denomination which is an UGLY chart if you haven't seen it already. I thought we all silently agreed that it was dead?

A follow up to my previous post. This is where I had camped out that night after my brush with death. This was taken just before the sun crept over the hills. image

***Story Time*** When I took this picture, it was the first morning during my road trip from California to South Dakota, but this wasn't where I intended on spending the night. This was about 40 miles out of Elko Nevada, in the middle of nowhere, parked on the side of the road just off the highway. How I ended up here was a double blow out of my rear tires. I was overtaking a semi doing about [[[the speed limit]]] and the moment I got ahead of him, both of my rear tires suddenly blew out. I swerved all the way off into the shoulder, attempted to recover and swerved into the opposite shoulder. My car was full of everything I owned, so I was heavy, and I knew if I hit the grass, it was game over. One last time I swerved back into the opposite shoulder and managed to get myself straight. I pulled off at the next exit, saw the damage, and realizing I was in the middle of nowhere, I decided to camp out and get a tow in the morning, of course sleep didn't come easy after staring death in the face like that, but I managed to get a few hours. Waking up to this view, I had to wonder if I was even still alive at that point and if I had died the night before. image

Sioux Falls apartments captured on some expired film I snagged from a thrift store. I don't know why but this picture always gives me the vibe of high school math book cover. The colors on this film were quite nice tho, the primary colors really pop. image

Somewhere near the Idaho / Wyoming border Captured on Porta 400 I enjoy this film stock, but I feel it is greatly over-hyped. I don't understand why people love it, though. Its colors are a but more true to life, and I kinda like to lean towards film that show color differently. image

And here's the CRT I get to watch it on. A 1985 Quasar. It's actually the second one I ordered because the first one unfortunately got smashed to bits in the mail. The second one I ordered, this one, shorted somewhere on the circuit board and nearly fried everything. Lucky a friend of mine fixed it and in return I gave him the first one I ordered and he said he's going to 3d print a new case for it. Such a unique little piece of history, it's good to see they will both continue to survive through all the torture they've gone through image

I'm curious to see if anyone else is having similar issues to what I'm experiencing here in nostr. On Primal, my feed won't load, nothing will load. (Only on mobile) However, I can still post regularly. The other client i use for mobile is Plebstr, which loads my feed and everything just fine, but I can't post pictures. So right now, I have to go on primal to make posts, and then go to plebster to actually see the post. Has anyone else experienced similar issues? When I un-installed primal, it fixed it but only temporarily.

Another shot on the 800t film. I think this is the only other one I might consider being in the "keeper" territory though honestly I'm not super pumped about the roll as a whole. I have 1 more roll of 800t that I'll try exposing differently and hope that comes out better! image

Nashville, captured on Cinestill 800T This was my first time using this film, I'm thinking next time I'm going to expose it at 400 rather than 800 because I know it can look a lot better than this, but others have told me they liked this one so you be the judge. image

This is one of my favorite pictures I've taken from my journey from California to South Dakota. Captured on what I believe was Kodak 400 on my Canon ae1 from somewhere in Wyoming. I'd love to come back here during the winter and maybe take a little denture to the Tetons as well. image

I'll be turning this account into my personal account. I'm into photography and like to travel so that'll likely be the bulk of what I post here. I'll continue to create Bitcoin content on youtube and twitter so if that's all you're interested, you can follow the link in my bio. I cant see any benefit telling people who are obviously already Bitcoiners why Bitcoin is good. Like what's next, "Hey guys, water is pretty good for you, you should try it"

To continue on my last post, what are we accomplishing if we use this platform to just talk about Bitcoin? We're all bitcoiners. It's like one fish telling another how much water matters to them. Like yeah no shit, we're all in the same boat here, it's a bit of a circlejerk at that point. We're all on the same page as far as Bitcoin on this platform so why not talk about what else you do. Talk about your other hobbies, interests, jobs, whatever. Use it as a personal account, so then when others outside of here and outside of the bitcoin ecosystem want to contact you, you can send them here, and Nostr can accumulate more normal people. If Nostr remains a platform tailored to Bitcoiners, its not going to go anywhere and if anything, it'll make it ripe for social conditioning operations and psyops, but i'll leave my tin foil hat off for now.

>>>Rant Warning<<< Echo chambers get really tiresome after a while... I wish nostr wasnt advertised so much as a bitcoin platform. It likely won't go anywhere if it only appeals to bitcoiners. sure, eventually the world will adopt bitcoin inevitably, but theres a huge difference between Bitcoiners, and people who hold bitcoin. Right now, Nostr doesnt appeal much to anyone whos not a bitcoiner. I can't see it taking off even if it was made better than every other social media platform combined, unless these other platforms had some kind of catastrophic failure. Sure it's easier to get monetized here since anyone can send and receive zaps, but theres no market here. The money is in YouTube, Twitter, Meta, etc. My proposed solution? People on this platform need to express their identity OUTSIDE of bitcoin, and make this their main platform. While I do wish to work more on producing Bitcoin related media, I think im going to use Nostr as my personal account, probably focusing more on my photography. That way when people take interest in my photos, I can send them here. Theyll see how seamless it is to get started on here, and they wont even be thinking about the bitcoin aspect. They'll just see it as the platform that that one photographer uses.
