I think bitcoin/lightning companies solely trying to be a Stripe competitor is going to get their lunch eaten by Stripe.
Custodial payment providers building regulatory moats charging visa level fees are the old way of thinking. Unfortunately that old way of thinking currently has a high market that can bring you $100M in idea stage fundraising.

Stripe expands access to its crypto onramp with a new hosted option
Web3 companies can now direct customers to a Stripe-hosted onramp to buy cryptocurrencies.

The livelihood of others means nothing to a scammer that is trying to make a quick buck.
Groundbreaking stuff is actively happening in Bitcoin and nobody would understand how hard we are all working to get it unless you go out of your way to see in live.

My philosophy on life when it's came to development has always been:
- am I considered a custodian?
- do I ever know something potentially damaging to myself or others?
I could short cut all kinds of apps or side gigs, or be part of major exits, but regulatory BS or the acts of stupid people is not something I ever want to deal with. Neither is screwing over people that trusted their funds or information with me.
I hope one day it really pays off and helps along the way. It's not always easy, but easier than me dealing with that kind of crap.
Interop is dead
