Hour 75 - No Day Off I first encountered this phrase on the Whistle YouTube channel while searching for training and inspirational clips for #IceHockey. I stumbled upon this playlist and found it fascinating. It features interviews with 7-9-year-old kids who love playing ice hockey, alongside their parents and coach, discussing what these kids do to play so well. As many of you know, athletic prowess partly depends on talent, but largely on relentless effort! These kids practice consistently, both on the ice and outdoors, in the gym, and through other sports like yoga and swimming. Similarly, my teammates at #BangkokGrizzlyBears also train rigorously alongside their studies. Coach Tash once said, "Ice hockey players are smart." After interacting with these kids, I see it's true, especially when one of the team's younger members served as an impromptu translator during a meeting with parents, some of whom couldn't understand Thai. This showcased both willingness and the ability to translate in real-time—a remarkable skill. Reflecting on Ming's training and this page, what are we doing? Honestly, I'm still unsure why Ming plays this sport. It's expensive, and from my perspective, I'm not convinced it can be a viable career path. Even if Ming strives to make the national team, financial security isn't guaranteed unless they become a true star or make it to the NHL (which is highly unlikely). Therefore, I look at another avenue: creating a page, becoming influencers. I can see a path here, more feasible than the former. It's not about shattering kids' dreams; it's about having a backup plan. I like this because it serves multiple purposes: It records memories and personal development. It inspires other kids (building value). It becomes an asset (branding). It hones interview skills (yes, Ming and I plan to do weekly recap interviews). It develops video editing skills, IT tool usage for content creation. And of course, when content is "practice," the reward is improved health. There may be more I haven't thought of yet, but Ming Ice Hockey Journey seems worthwhile and intriguing. Success should be the goal, but let's not forget the value in the journey itself—that's the "Proof of Work." Regardless, please support Ming Ice Hockey Journey. #2024bangkokfly Game 51 [U10] : Korea Monster 12 - 1 Bangkok Grizzly Bears - Recap เกมส์วันนี้เราพ่ายทีม Korea Monster ไปอย่างน่าเสียดาย ก่อนเริมเกมส์เราก็รู้อยู่แล้วว่าทีมอันดับหนึ่งของตารางด้วยคะแนนชนะรวด Clean Sheet และไม่เคยโดนยิงประตูเก่งขนาดไหน และโค้ชก็เตรียมแผนไว้แล้วด้วยการเน้น Defence สลับรุกเป็นบางจังหวะ ซึ่งก็ต้องมาวัดกันตอนเริ่มเกมส์ เด็กๆทีม GB ไม่มีความกลัวกันเลยแม้ว่าฝั่งตรงข้ามจะตัวใหญ่กว่ากันมาก และน้องใจ๋ก็ทำประตูไปให้ขึ้นนำไปในจังหวะสวนกลับ เริ่มเกมส์ GB นำไปแต่แรกด้วยคะแนน 1-0 เป็นคนแรกเป็นทำคะแนนจาก Korea Monster ได้ แต่ดีใจได้ไม่นาน เราก็โดน KM ตีเสมอ และโดนยิงนำ จบ Period แรกไปด้วยคะแนนที่ตาม 2-1 ถือว่าพอสูสี โค้ชใช้ทรัพยาการที่มีจำกัดได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพมาก เด็กๆทีม U10 ของเรามีผู้เล่นที่มีประสบการณ์ไม่มาก และที่เหลือก็เป็นมือใหม่ที่เพิ่งซ้อมกันมาได้เพียง 5-6 เดือนเท่านั้น เริ่มเกมส์ P2 เราเสียประตูตั้งแต่ต้นพีเรียด และกลายเป็นเสียรูปเกมส์ไปเลย ทำให้หลังจากนี้เราโดนตีคะแนนนำเรื่อยๆ จนถึง 4 ประตูต่อ 1 ซึ่งในเมื่อรูปเกมส์สู้ไม่ได้ นัดนี้โค้ชจึงปล่อยเด็กๆมารับประสบการณ์มากหน่อย หมิง กาแฟ นภัทร เหล่ามือใหม่ทุกๆคนได้เผชิญหน้ากับทีมอันดับ 1 อย่างไม่กลัวเลย ดีที่ยังมีพี่เจ้านาย พี่เอวา พี่ใจ๋ พี่พอร์ตเตอร์ คอยช่วยประคองเกมส์เอาไว้ จบเกมส์นัดนี้เราพ่ายไป 12 - 1 แต่ยังมีอีกนัด ชิงที่ 5 วันอาทิตย์นี้ ---------------- ประชาสัมพันธ์ . Recap - เกมส์สนุกมาก สูสีและมีลุ้นตลอด ทั้งสองทีมเล่นกันได้คู่คี่เลย ใน Period แรก ทีม GB ขึ้นนำไปก่อน 1 ประตูจากฝีมือของใจ๋คนเดิม และซัดอีกประตูในช่วงท้ายของ Period แต่เกิดเหตุฟาล์ว อย่างต่อเนื่อง ทำให้น้องๆลูกหมีเราเข้าไปในกล่อง Panalty Box ถึง 2 คน . ช่วงต้น 2nd Period ทำให้เราต้องเหลือผู้เล่น 3 คน (ทาง Seoul Dragons ได้เปรียบ Power Play) และโดนกดดันอย่างหนัก ลูกหมีทั้งสองต้องอยู่ในกล่องคนละ 2 นาที เราพยายามป้องกันเต็มที่เพื่อถ่วงเวลาแล้ว แต่ในที่สุด ในขณะที่เวลา Panalty ใกล้จะหมด เราก็โดนจนได้ ! Ming's Ice Hockey Debut: A Thrilling Journey at Bangkok Fly 2024 Ming's First Game: My son, Ming, had his ice hockey debut yesterday at the tender age of 7.7 years old. He played for the Bangkok Grizzly Bears U10 team in the Bangkok Fly 2024 tournament, a nationwide competition in Thailand. The first match was against the Raptors, and we emerged victorious with a score of 10-0. Ming was understandably nervous and excited, but he managed to get some playing time towards the end. Despite an offside penalty, our team's overall performance, especially from our older teammates, secured a solid win. Round 2: Facing the Nakaraj The second match against the Nakaraj proved to be a tougher challenge, resulting in a 1-7 loss. However, the game was filled with excitement and intensity, showcasing the fast-paced nature of ice hockey compared to football, which I'm more familiar with. The physicality and scoring rallies were exhilarating, especially with our team, including Ming, on the ice. Despite the loss, our team, the Grizzly Bears, displayed great potential. Ming's nervousness subsided during this match, and he showed improvement in his confidence on the ice. I'm confident that with more practice and experience, Ming and the entire team will continue to grow and excel. Up Next: Seoul Dragons We're gearing up for our next match tomorrow against the Seoul Dragons from Korea. The team is excited to face this international competition and showcase their skills.
