excited to announce that anyone can now listen to our album ‘a gathering of batteries’ and recycle, earn, or donate sats:
our intention with this project is to explore new ways of connecting bitcoin to music.
we’ve charged up the battery to start, but theoretically this project could live on indefinitely, funded by the public, moving value from listener to listener.
a big thanks to the team at @Wavlake , who are entirely responsible for bringing this half baked idea to fruition.
if nothing else, hopefully this experiment inspires others to try something new.
this music was inspired in part by going down the bitcoin rabbit hole, and the recognition of the shifting undercurrents of our world today. enjoy.

we’re releasing an album tomorrow. two + years in the making. here is a little bit of backstory behind it
Been playing around with AI music generation, it’s really kind of interesting. In a roundabout way, it could actually make music “more human” again, depending on how it’s used.
If you look back at the last couple decades… so many producers default to using MIDI, which makes music really quantized, linear—where every drum hit and instrument is the exactly on beat, on a literal digital “grid”. It’s like making music on a spreadsheet. The most extreme example being EDM or something… which feels super computery and inorganic.
In contrast, I can get an AI to make a drum beat that is more like J Dilla—it’s rough around the edges, makes little ‘mistakes’ because the AI recognizes the imperfections that a human player delivers. But sometimes that’s what actually makes something unique. It is sensitive enough to pick up on the human subtleties that make music great.
Just a thought, curious to see where it goes from here.
our new single somewhere you want to be is up on @wavlake . This one is definitely inspired by Bitcoin in some ways. Dreaming a different world more aligned with the natural flow of things. Listen here:
