Pretty much just my shower thoughts 🚿🧠 But I do other things like... Developer Advocate at Lightning Labs | Co-Organizer of San Juan Bitdevs | Founder of Velas Commerce
I rarely count calories, but when I do, I'm pretty sure I should be able to deduct 10% at the end of the day to account for all the bites I gave my dogs.
I think I've been to 20 different countries. Is that impressive or are those rookie numbers?
Attention young women, the internet is lying to you about the life of a “trad wife”. It is not at all a glamorous, easy, or safe life. Bringing new life into the world is nothing short of miraculous. It’s like being a demigod, I recommend it. But you need to know that it is dangerous work and a rather traumatic process. Statically speaking, being a police officer is safer than being pregnant. And in the birthing process you may very well max out your bodies ability to feel pain all while covered in a cocktail of your own blood and feces. Caring for children is very natural for nearly all humans and is an incredible source of joy. However, for the vast majority of humanity, child care was a communal effort. Humans have generally lived in small bands of 50-100 people where everyone knew everyone else and the children ran and played while the whole community kept an eye on them and parents engaged in productive work along side other adults. One adult in a home alone with a set of small children is wildly unnatural. The single family home, stay at home parent setup is an anomaly in human history. An adult spending all day interacting with only children, trying to keep up with a child's need for play is a maddening task for any adult brain which needs interaction with other adults. Being a stay at home parent is a very isolating and difficult lifestyle. Yes even when you organize play dates and lunches with other parents. Life with small children is not glamorous. You don’t wear the pretty dresses as they just get spit up all over them. You will be far too sleep deprived to bother putting on makeup… heck you probably forgot to even brush your teeth for two days in a row! And you smell like dirty diapers. Like it or not, today's world revolves around money. Money is a massively impactful logistical reality of the world we currently live in. Because of this, choosing to not have a monetary income is a massive economic trust fall. Should something happen to your spouse, should there be a breakup, you will then be in a very challenging logistical situation. I would go as far as to say that not planning for this possibility is very irresponsible. Being the primary care taker of a home filled with small children is incredibly challenging, and risky work. It’s certainly the most demanding job that I’ve ever had. This is not to say that you shouldn’t be a housewife. I was a “trad wife” for 4 years and that worked out just fine for me. You do whatever suits your life. I just want you to be able to make informed decisions. Being a trad wife is risky, un-glamorous, and incredibly difficult work.

image "Women go through the trauma of telling their horrific story. They face doubt, shame, and public judgment. Nikita Hand did that. In 2018 Conor McGregor raped her in a Dublin hotel. She was left shaken, crying and severely bruised. A forensic examiner also said she had a 9cm scratch on her left breast and he had to use forceps to remove a tampon she had been wearing the previous night because it became ‘wedged inside’. In 2024, a jury decided Conor McGregor was legally responsible for the rape and Nikita was given €248,000 in damages. She told her story. And then she had to watch her rapist get invited on TV, celebrated, applauded and treated like a star. The problem is not that women don’t report. The problem is that society keeps showing survivors that even when they come forward, powerful men can still be protected, promoted, and given a platform."

Money will buy you an escape from hardship and that is very fucking important. But money will never buy you happiness(peace). That is always and forever an inside job.

So Peter Theil has this deep state group called "Dialog" where regulators and business leaders hangout together. And at one of their recent gatherings was a panel titled "Build-a-Cult" moderated by the founder of the Christian networking platform Pray dot com Unfortunately, that sounds about right.

Sometimes when someone says something atrocious I’ll call them on it and be like “that’s not cool” and then they’ll get all pissy and be like “well you’re not any fun”. And I’m just like, bro, do you not know how to have a good time with out doing some gay bashing? Is homophobia a prerequisite to your enjoyment?

Being the constant rebel is just as pathetic as being the conformist. Either way your behavior is dictated by others.
