To exist in time, without changing... that is death.
Does that make sense in your head? It makes sense in my head.

Bitcoin is a “do-ocracy”. Those doing are the ones making the decisions.
If you have strong opinions, definitely you should voice them!
But if you really want to influence change in an open system like Bitcoin, go build things. White papers, PR’s, events, protocols, apps, resources..

And maybe there is no winning. Maybe this universe is the Kobayashi Maru universe and the whole point is just to play your cards well and go out with some honor 🫡
You can have a drink in any Sci-Fi universe of your choosing, with any character from that universe, in any location in that universe.... what are you choosing???
Also, it's time to do away with our worshiping of the hierarchy. It's a very comparative, zero-sum mindset.

Old school men take it as a threat to their sense of value and purpose when a woman challenges them on a decision.
This places such immense and damaging pressure on these men as this is a very fragile self concept that is outside of their direct control, and it pressures women to censor themselves.
We've spent the past few generations teaching girls to break out of their gendered roles, but we didn't do the same for boys. So now we have a generation of young men adapted for a world that no longer exists. We need to help them break out of their old-school gendered roles as well.
Being creepy is not having consideration for others.
Example:
Woman sitting on a train reading a book. Dude thinks she’s hot and wants to go talk to her. He sits next to her and says hi. She gives a polite but brief “hi” in return and quickly resumes reading her book. In this case our dude isn’t creepy, is has consideration for others. He notices that she is engaged in her book and is not giving him any signals that she in interested in conversation. He respects that and leaves her alone.
Same scenario, but with a creepy dude. He sits next to the hot lady and says hi. She gives a polite but brief “hi” in return and quickly resumes reading her book. He does not stop to think what her experience of this situation might be. He does not pause to consider her preferences and does not respect her time and energy. He proceeds to treat her as if she exists for his amusement and repeatedly tries to engage her in conversation until she is either very direct with him, or gets up and moves. Then he reaches the conclusion that all women are bitches.

Sometimes, people love tradition as it saves them from having to find their own sense of identity and value.

Generally true, but also, there are times when "all the experts" are indeed wrong. And once you experience that in your life, you can't blindly trust again.
The answer is do your own research, but be humble. Sometimes "they" are wrong, and sometimes you are wrong.

I'm trying to convince my husband that we should play a game where we stick a hand in the bathroom drawer, randomly pull out a pill, take it, and then guess what it was.
Was it a laxative? Was it an antihistamine? ...we'll find out in 20mins!!!
Nothing gives me confidence like the trio of Trump, RFK, and Elon. If they can go around making obscene gestures on stage and being just completely wrong about 30% of the things that come out of their mouth and yet carry on boldly... like why should I give a shit about that typo in my Tweet???
I'm kicking ass y'all, I behave professionally on stage and I fact check the things that I say #winning

Good news y'all....

Being a young woman in the 90’s was shitty. I lived as prey. Things are so much better now.
Yes there is still a lot of misogyny to deal with. My daughters know who Andrew Tate is 🤢
But now is better, the misogyny now is blatant and cartoony rather than subtly accepted by everyone. Upgrade!
