I would like to hear a libertarian argument against public healthcare. An example is salt iodination. In some parts of the US and in most parts of my country there was a very high incidence of goiter, which came hand in hand with a birth defect called cretenism. Salt iodination has completely eliminated these conditions, but today it may be linked to a drastic increase in Hashimoto incidence. But still, I would argue that Hashimoto is more benign than cretenism and other goitre related complications. What are your thoughts? #asknostr #grownostr #health

Total annual calorie intake has remained about the same since the 90s, yet obesity and diabetes rates have increased. Calories are a flawed model of measuring metabolic health, or tracking food intake. They are units of heat energy. Humans are open biological systems that rely on chemical ATP production. At best the calorie is just a correlate, but one that completely ignores human biology. image

Between 2011 and 2017 the Academy of nutrition and dietetics received 15 million dollars from: Nestle, PepsiCo, Coca-cola, Kellogg and others. These people hate you. You are cattle to them. They feed you grain to fatten you up and to placate you, to domesticate you. When you get sick, you get symptomatic treatment - the idea is to postpone the consequences in old age, AFTER you've spent your body already for work. Eat red meat. The more - the better. Abandon grains, avoid seed oils. Cut down carbs as close to 0 as you can. #nutrition #carnivore #diet #foodstr #meatstr #keto
