If they do send a letter, it's usually a warning with no real pertinent information that can be tossed in the trash. If they send a letter with a court date, there are several levels of appeals court you can go through before paying a single cent, each step delaying the process, costing the IRS huge amounts of money from which they are likely to stop pursuing the case out of financial motivation. If they somehow won 3-5 levels of appeals court, then you could pay them through a monthly payment plan and delay things further. Make it difficult for them. Someone has to hold the line. Someone needs to throw the tea in the harbor. Income taxes aren't just unconstitutional -- they are immoral and pernicious.
