In the same vein that in bitcoin marginal buyers and sellers move the market…I believe that in our collective consciousness, “marginal actions” move consciousness. I intend to be a laser beam of truth in my actions. So much so that my truth is undeniable (almost like the truth of bitcoin is undeniable). This means meeting every situation with the precision of character required. The trouble is that every situation requires something different to bring harmony. Whether it’s compassion, neutrality, sadness, anger, a smile. People are constantly testing you “at the margins” in their posture towards you. But if I remain steadfast in my devotion to meet you precisely where you deserve to be met, I can change the world at the margin. People want to be seen, and I can show time and time again that I see you and I notice exactly where you are. I will not let you cross my boundaries, but I will always strive to leave us better than we came. And this gives me so much hope and presence every day.

I have a friend who passed away in a car crash many moons ago. Towards the end of his life he let his body go a lot. To the extent that it could be seen as “embarrassing” at the time. But he never wavered in his principles, in who he was. Even though his culture demanded something radically different from him. His soul remained intact. There aren’t many more important things than remaining true to your self. He taught me such a valuable lesson in his legend. Some times I feel him watching over and protecting me.
