I'm thinking of quitting my job and just coming onto NOSTR every couple of days to post:
"I just deleted my X account, going all in on NOSTR"
I reckon I could live off the zaps this statement attracts.

Documenting what I've learnt through letters to my son, Reg.
I remember getting chatting to a self-made Multi Millionaire whilst smoking a cigar in a local hotel lounge.
Having offered to buy me and my friend's next round of cigars, and having covered the drinks bill of a group sitting next to us, he told me that his Grandfather had given him some advice he always tried to live by....
DON'T CURB THE GENEROSITY IMPLUSE.
It's stuck with me since.
There are so many times where I think about doing something really nice for someone at personal cost, but just before I do I back out because of the price or inconvenience.
Now I force myself to follow through.
If you want to know what someone thinks, don't listen to what they say, watch what they do and how they use their money.
Society conditions us to believe we have innate character traits that make us who we are.
We come away from childhood thinking we're "shy" or "not confident" or "bad with money" or "unorganised" or "not business minded" or "not good with people".
These are all just skill deficiencies, and most of them can be corrected within 6 months with a bit of intentional learning.
The other day I felt compelled to draw out a spider diagram of areas that are my focus right now (I find it easier to think visually)
It was interesting to see that the majority of them would all vastly improve if I was to tackle what is, frankly, an unhealthy relationship with my phone.
• Moved my phone out of the bedroom at night.
• Deleted X.
• Installed an app that blocks me from NOSTR between certain hours.
It's day 2 and already I'm a better thinker, worker, Dad & Husband.
As a kid taught to conform, there's nothing more admirable to me than people who possess the will to say fuck you to incompetent authority
I think it's why I enjoy the #bitcoin community so much.
Sometimes I'm driving along minding my own business when suddenly I''m overcome with anger at how governments raid the savings of hard working people through money printing & inflation.
I can't wait to see their currencies slowly but surely collapse, and their overreaching tentacles hacked off.
We all know #bitcoin rewards low time preference.
I'm sure most of you reading this were '2 marshmallow kids'.
And of course we're all pretty smug that hedonist no-coiners are out there partying, whilst we're sat at home watching Michael Saylor videos and stacking sats.
But take it from someone who has spent their adult life living for the future....don't lose sight of what you're doing it all for:
EXPERIENCES and RELATIONSHIPS.
They form the currency of a good life.
Bitcoin's price will take care of itself. Stop focussing on it and instead focus on your plan to start living your life as soon as possible.
In a few measly generations, no one will remember you.
My phone homepage reminding me my:
• FUTURE TIME
(how many days I've got to live given an average life expectancy)
and my
• STORED TIME
(price of #bitcoin)

I'm not a religious man. Far from it.
But more and more of my World views are lining up with Christian ideals.
