Saint Lazarus of Bethany
The brother of Saint Martha and Saint Mary of Bethany. He was the man whom Jesus raised from the dead after having been dead and in his tomb for four days. The Bible does not trace his history after the miracle, but tradition says he became a missionary to Gaul, the first bishop of Marseilles, France, and a martyr in the persecutions of Domitian.

A man named John was sent from God. He came for testimony, to testify to the light, so that all might believe through him. He was not the light, but came to testify to the light.
And this is the testimony of John. When the Jews from Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to him to ask him, “Who are you?” he admitted and did not deny it, but admitted, “I am not the Christ.”
So they asked him, “What are you then? Are you Elijah?”
And he said, “I am not.”
“Are you the Prophet?”
He answered, “No.”
So they said to him, “Who are you, so we can give an answer to those who sent us?
What do you have to say for yourself?”
He said: “I am the voice of one crying out in the desert, ‘make straight the way of the Lord,’”as Isaiah the prophet said. Some Pharisees were also sent.
They asked him, “Why then do you baptize if you are not the Christ or Elijah or the Prophet?”
John answered them,
“I baptize with water;
but there is one among you whom you do not recognize,
the one who is coming after me,
whose sandal strap I am not worthy to untie.”
This happened in Bethany across the Jordan,
where John was baptizing.

The feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe
#HailMary #PrayForUs #OurLady #Catholic

The angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgin’s name was Mary.
And coming to her, he said, “Hail, full of grace! The Lord is with you.” But she was greatly troubled at what was said and pondered what sort of greeting this might be.
Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father, and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of his Kingdom there will be no end.”
But Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I have no relations with a man?” And the angel said to her in reply, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God.
And behold, Elizabeth, your relative, has also conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month for her who was called barren; for nothing will be impossible for God.”
Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her.

Christ be with me, Christ within me,
Christ behind me, Christ before me,
Christ beside me, Christ to win me,
Christ to comfort and restore me.
Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ in quiet, Christ in danger,
Christ in hearts of all that love me,
Christ in mouth of friend and stranger.

As fades the glowing orb of day, To thee, great source of light, we pray;
Blest Three in One, to every heart Thy beams of life and love impart.
At early dawn, at close of day, To thee our vows we humbly pay;
May we, mid joys that never end, With thy bright saints in homage bend.
To God the Father, and the Son, And Holy Spirit, Three in One, Be endless glory, as before The world began, so evermore.
Amen.
Let the evening prayer ascend unto thee, O Lord.
And let there descend upon us thy mercy.

Glory to God and may He bless all of you today!

O God, come to my assistance;
O Lord, make haste to help me.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Alleluia.
O God, whose hand hath spread the sky, And all its shining hosts on high, And painting it with fiery light, Made it so beauteous and so bright:
Thou, when the fourth day was begun, Didst frame the circle of the sun, And set the moon for ordered change, And planets for their wider range:
To night and day, by certain line,
Their varying bounds thou didst assign; And gav'st a signal, known and meet, For months begun and months complete.
Enlighten thou the hearts of men:
Polluted souls make pure again:
Unloose the bands of guilt within:
Remove the burden of our sin.
Grant this, O Father, ever One With Christ thy sole-begotten Son, Whom, with the Spirit we adore, One God, both now and evermore.
Amen.
Now in the sun's new dawning ray, Lowly of heart, our God we pray That he from harm may keep us free In all the deeds this day shall see.
May fear of him our tongues restrain, Lest strife unguarded speech should stain:
His favouring care our guardian be, Lest our eyes feed on vanity.
May every heart be pure from sin And folly find no place therein:
Scant need of food, excess denied, Wear down in us the body's pride.
That when the light of day is gone, And night in course shall follow on.
We, free from cares the world affords, May chant the praise that is our Lord's.
All laud to God the Father be, All praise, Eternal Son, to thee:
All glory, as is ever meet, To God the holy Paraclete.
Amen.

I love the Catholic Church. Strange times indeed, but nothing new under the sun, the gates of hell will not prevail.
Today and everyday is a great day to grow in virtue and live in the fullness of the faith.
