My 19 year old daughter getting her first session of industrial suppression practice in tonight. Hopefully she hangs in there and gets her NFPA 1001 cert. She’s learned some good skills already as a volunteer and got a good summer job out of it this year.
Finally done. I’ll tarp this before the snow comes, but we are pretty solid for emergency heat between this, an 8x8 shed stacked to the ceiling and a Mr. Heater Little Buddy with four 25lb propane tanks and a 100lb propane tank.
GM degens. Have an awesome day 🤙🏽

First year trying to grow squash. And the last of the cukes. Still more to come off, but not bad in a 4’x8’ bed with tomato cages as trellises.
Nice day in the bush. I just took a few shots with the .270 at the pit near our usual deer camp, to make sure the rifle was still sighted in. Not a stellar pattern, but the first shots of the season were all good enough for solid vital hits. The first one was in the 3” spot, and the pattern was about 3”. I have it zeroed at 200 yd so it’s supposed to be 2” high at this 100 yd distance. Another couple sessions before game day and I should be dialed again.
Then we went to the lake and old original campsite a few miles away to splash around with the dog and catch some rays with a few bevvies. Ended up buck assed naked hoping no one would drive into the camp before the afternoon was done lol. May have traumatized the dog. It was a good day.

Life is good.
I will never pay capital gains on BTC that was purchased with taxed employment income.
Finally done for the year after a mega session today. About 8 hours of swinging between last night and this afternoon. I’m not going to be able to move tomorrow lol. It’s hard to believe this is all from one tree, and there’s still another truckload of it up near deer camp waiting for us to get there mid October.
I love this place. Who would have dreamed, when our forebears were huddling in caves, that we would one day be exchanging value for our thoughts with electrons?
