I email people my real name constantly. It’s a great way to open up collaborations, meet like-minded people, etc. It’s great.
Nostr just hates you, by design. People need to learn that the hard way apparently.

Users do not own their data on nostr. The relays do.
Nostr has never been about “data ownership” or “user respect”. It’s simply a gossip network designed to spread data as far and wide as possible (for an unknown amount of time)

Nostr devs, you are in a race. And the race is to remove features. The race for the Everything App of the West.
- identity/trust
- social/messaging
- commerce/services
Whoever can whittle the features down to just that and make it the best UX in existence, wins.

@Nostur @Fabian on Nostur iOS my posts aren’t posting to nostr.land. I usually have to go to “post details > republish” in order to get it to post on nostr.land.
Note that nostr.land is the only relay that requires authentication and I have that authentication toggle selected in the relay management.
Ngl I really want a non-gay AtProto indexer now. They literally starting shitting and throwing up when the sitting Vice President of the United States joined BlueSky and said hi.
The protocol is kind of awesome but the libtards make it so unappealing to anyone with even a small degree of openness.
Nostr NIPs are sort of putting the cart before the horse. They try to enforce a standard before anything has even been tried.
Compare to AtProto which just lets apps each make their own lexicon and then later on down the line competing apps can come together and settle on something like an NIP if they wish.
