Bitcoin has zero adoption because Layer 1 is unusable. No privacy, dust everywhere (bitcoiners are arbitrary luddites that never accept improvements). The “circular economy” will never happen on Layer 2 because it’s byzantine, ruggable, and just sucks compared to fiat. If “means of exchange” never happens, “store of value” never happens either. Shout out to @vik sharma for making the first Silent Payments wallet for Bitcoin. Layer 1 is usable again. It feels like I stepped back into 2015! I highly recommend Cake Wallet if you’re wanting to just send someone Bitcoin and don’t want to bother explaining Layer 2 protocols just for a one time payment

Ecash or Lightning for a Bitcoin newbie is basically a non-starter. It’s just not happening unfortunately. Bitcoin Silent Payments are surprisingly simple however. Stay on layer 1. Nice!
