Ecash or Lightning for a Bitcoin newbie is basically a non-starter. It’s just not happening unfortunately. Bitcoin Silent Payments are surprisingly simple however. Stay on layer 1. Nice!

@eNuts ⚡️🌰 why does the main iOS App Store app show that it’s in the “Education” category? And the example images are in German and stretched to be distorted. Is the TestFlight app still the best way to use the app?

I want to send money to my friend in Paraguay. How do I use Bitcoin in a way that is private and where fees are not insanely high??

If ecash is rejected by institutions, it will be labeled as money laundering. If ecash is accepted by institutions, it will be the same exact thing as CBDC. Can someone tell me why ecash is good?

Actually confused about who is @PABLOF7z and who is @nos This could be an issue with how some apps (Damus?) render usernames vs nicknames vs names. But it is highlighting a weird aspect to Nostr that I’m not really enjoying.

I’m against e-cash now. I’m not using e-cash as a layer on top of lightning as a layer on top of Bitcoin. I’m sick of the gymnastics. All that work just for e-cash mints to be forced to have back doors or shut down for laundering money (true). View quoted note →
