I've only ever been late for a job interview once and it was due to genuinely unpredictable circumstances. I judged there was no way my interviewer would believe why I was going to be late and I'm not a very good liar. So I rang and apologised for canceling the interview. I told the interviewer, even if you allow me time now, there's no way I make up this lost ground, so let's call it quits. The interviewer was annoyed but I still think it was the right call. No way I'd have got the job.

I want to ask #asknostr if others feel the same here? One of the main reasons I'd really like #nostr to take off is this. I feel more comfortable disagreeing with people here than I do on #bluesky or #threads. As someone who feels dead centre politically, I sense a slight right wing bias here, but I also sense a real tolerance of other views. I really like that.

One of the reasons I will never be a #bitcoin maximalist I've never been a moral puritan and I'll never be a financial puritan either. There's no example I've ever seen where there was only one solution to a problem. That's almost my golden rule and as much as I value #btc I value choice more.

As someone who's been on the periphery of #crypto for a while. something amuses me. The polarisation of this space is reflecting the wider #society. This is evidenced by people taking absolutist positions where they're not warranted. So let's dispel this. #Bitcoin won't be the only coin standing, because not everyone wants the same thing. Some people want the pure money of #monero Some want the #ecosystem #ethereum provides Some want the instant payments of #XLM And it goes on. So most #altcoins will fail, but not all and even those that do fail will fail slowly as they're redundant or superseded. People are messy and people use #btc so #BTC will be messy. Deal with it. It doesn't really matter.
