I'm custious to #asknostr what other crypto do you think will succeed? I've noticed most #nostritches are #Bitcoin only, but there some alternatives that seem to have real utility. #filecoin hasn't really paid off but I'm not sure why. The idea of earning for shared storage seems really sound. And the idea of #nexo always appealed to me too. So far it's never really worked for me but I feel like it ought to. I'm also keen on #privacy #coins like #Monero. That seems like a real world use case to me too. Maybe I'm just too much of an optimist?

I was just wondering. If essentially free #energy arrives before all the #Bitcoin is mined we could have a very interesting situation indeed. From what I know there has to be an energy cost for #pow to work at all. Can I #asknostr what the other #nostritches think?

Sometimes the obvious answer isn't the first one to mind. Sound paradoxical? Which version of #btc would benefit most people? A steady rise? No! A crash to zero? Of course not! Staying volatile? Could be! For most people in the developing world, the best version would be the most volatile one, the one repeated 70% crashes. That's the only version of #Bitcoin that will allow people in developing countries to keep getting on board the train. That's the uncomfortable #truth. Bitcoin cannot succeed on the West first, because most people don't live in the West. What do other #nostritches think? #asknostr
