In a matter of a few hours I’ve got a completely private via Signal and self-hosted LLM (qwen2.5-tools) agent to interact with and use. It’s “self-configuring” and pretty capable for what it is (32B parameter model).
It’s a tool I can comfortably use with my private documents, without worry of leaking to a provider.
I understand the hype..

New “flavour” let’s see how it stacks up against my earlier favourite aniseed @Soap21

For the past 15 years or so I have used a tax agent to help me prepare my tax returns.
But not working full time, and with tools like Claude Code in my pocket, this year I decided to build an app to help me prepare my tax returns for last FY and forever more going forward.
Took about a week longer than I initially thought, a 2 week process, but I needed to “cross the i’s and dot the t’s” as it’s taxes and we know that the tax authorities don’t fuck around.
Anyway finally at a point I can use it to file my return (a week late..) and in doing this work I have realised I am almost definitely going to get audited 🥲
I listen to a variety of music, but nothings really beats the music you listen to during your teen years.
For me, that is trance and drum and bass circa 2000.
Probably the best trance set of the era is Live @ Energy 2000 by Tiësto. It’s an absolute banger!
Had a great chat with @Stephan Livera along with my co-author Clara in talking about Quantum Computing and what it means for Bitcoin.
(Now I see why a good mic is essential…)
