Sounds like hiding the trail to secretly stack to me. Send coins to exchanges from known wallets, mix coins into exchange balances, buy back coins with various government owned wallets. Make it seem like you don’t value the coins then wash them back into government holdings.

Whenever I read shit like this it blows my mind how impossibly convoluted our entire financial system has become. Government agencies regulating agencies regulating other government agencies. Arcane rules for more arcane rules. All of this to aid in the financialization of every fucking thing, just to keep people spending money to prop up the whole inflationary system. Credit scores are a scammy fucking joke. Credit IS inflationary. Credit has a place in this world. Unfortunately, most are not disciplined enough to use it properly.

Meanwhile in the U.S. supposed “too big to fail” banks can’t custody their own Bitcoin even if they were so inclined. Why? Then it becomes too real. Once a normie boomer type can just buy Bitcoin, sell Bitcoin, and send Bitcoin all through their BoFA or Wells app, then Bitcoin truly will have gone mainstream, at least for the more nontechnical types, i.e. most of everyone. It’s only a matter of time.
