The definitive design of this book has proven illusive. I’ve redesigned it several times, scrapped a lot of text, only to add it back in again a month later. It went from hardcover to softcover, to hardcover, and back to softcover again (this is final, I promise). When I was happy with its pages, I changed the size of the book, forcing yet another redesign of all 272 pages. I’ve lost myself in the details once or twice, circling back to previous decisions and ending up elsewhere. It’s not easy to design and self-publish a book, but now I think—finally—I have a good grasp of its final form.

image You can still pre-order the NoGood Book if you want to help make the slipcase stretch-goal a reality. The Collectors Edition includes collectibles such as an art print & sticker pack, and a slipcase if we reach the stretch-goal. These will not be available ever again when the pre-orders end. If you don't need extra goodies, there's also a book-only option.

image I asked the printer how much it costs to add a slipcase to the book — I need about €3500. Unfortunately, that doesn't fit within my budget, and I feel uncomfortable asking for more funding or adding more rewards / tiers to the campaign. I'm already amazed how many of you pre-ordered a book and how patient you've been while I (try to) finish it. Your support allows me to produce the book — the money raised from pre-orders covers most of the production and printing costs. To stretch the budget I can, however, try to sell more books before it goes into production. More pre-orders means a bigger budget. That's why I added the slipcase as a stretch goal to the @Geyser campaign. I don't know if (or how) we'll reach the stretch-goal. Raising an extra €3500 feels like a stretch (pun intended) but I want to give it a shot. Nothing will change to existing pre-orders if we don't reach the goal, but if we do, all pre-orders will come with custom printed slipcase! Finally, I overhauled the campaign page. The book has changed a lot and some information was no longer up to date. Should be all good to go now! Have a look 👇 Also, sharing = 💜🫂🤙

Thinking about setting up a Kickstarter campaign to reach some stretch-goals (slipcase, hardcover edition, screen print on open spine and the edges of the paper) and to possibly reach a wider audience.
