when you look at bitcoin’s 4-year cycle, you could say the top hits in october. but honestly the sample size is pretty small so this pattern might not hold up. imo bitcoin’s wrapping up its pre-awareness phase and moving into the pre-growth phase… guess we’re about to find out soon.

-2028- when block rewards drop from 3.125 to 1.5625 btc in 2028, we're looking at the most dramatic supply shock yet. new daily btc issuance falls to 225 coins, the sharpest contraction in bitcoin's programmed monetary policy. miners face a 50% revenue cliff. holders will hunt for yield. builders will race to make bitcoin productive capital, not just a passive store of value. the market's already front-running this. microstrategy's convertible note structure creates synthetic btc yield around 10% apy through volatility harvesting and leverage. clear signal: institutional capital wants btc-denominated returns, even if they're still fiat-settled today. post-2028 dynamics get wild. with global mining rewards under 225 btc daily, that supply shock perfectly aligns with bitcoin maturing as pristine collateral. the stage is set for native btc yield products. what's coming: - native btc lending markets with real yield (not fiat-denominated) - hashrate derivatives and tokenized mining returns - structured products using options strategies for btc returns - bitcoin-collateralized synthetics generating protocol fees from fiat based returns to native btc yield. from pristine collateral to productive capital as issuance approaches zero, every sat becomes yield-seeking. bitcoin's monetary premium forces capital efficiency innovation. the infra being deployed today determines how multi-trillion dollar btc reserves generate sustainable, bitcoin-denominated yields tmrw. the builders who solve this will define the next couple of decades.

just occurred to me out of the blue that if 200m people out of 8b want bitcoin equally, they’d only get around 0.1 btc each.

Walmart's Forward PE Ratio for today is 36.28. Costco Forward PE Ratio for today is 46.10. NVIDIA's Forward PE Ratio for today is 28.30. this is everything i need to know to determine if we're in a bubble.

all valuations on spx are still very reasonable. this is a bull market. what we’re seeing is just a VAR (value at risk) shock, a sudden spike in a portfolios' potential losses from higher volatility forcing some to sell and manage risk limits, which just amplifies the moves. imo, it's a nothing burger and btc and all risk assets will move soon.

we always see gold as bitcoin’s rival and call bitcoin the digital gold but the truth is gold’s not a competitor. it’s bitcoin’s best friend. they’re both telling the same story.

imagine you have a billion dollars in btc. put it in a cold wallet and carry your entire wealth from point a to point b, no matter the distance. sure bitcoin is digital, but it’s also very physical. in fact, it doesn’t get any more physical than that.

there’s this thing you start noticing. the inventors, creators, real designers, the ones with original ideas, their lives and spaces they live are always a weird mess. papers everywhere, random notes on napkins. it looks chaotic, but that’s where usually the magic happens. meanwhile the people with those clean wnd pristine desks, symmetrical setups, color coded folders, etc. they’re almost never the ones making anything new.
