I've started to do some simple sentence cards now, they're much more challenging to make (which is something he warned about) and that caused me to lose some motivation and momentum over the last two days. I just got through today's cards though and I'm feeling good. Man, there's a bunch of office politics going on at my work right now that will almost certainly result in me getting layed off. Makes it very hard to just sit here and pretend to care about what I'm supposed to be doing

If I have a hardware #btc wallet (purchased with #xmr) that has never had any coins in it, and I only atomic swap from xmr to that wallet. That should be an acceptibly private (pseudonymous) way to store btc as savings right? Flow would look like this: purchase xmr from #retoswap > move to hardware wallet > atomic swap some portion to btc > atomic swap back to xmr if I need to spend or sell back for fiat #asknostr

I recently read through Fluent Forever by Gabriel Wyner and am starting to put his process into practice for learning Latin. I'm through the initial sounds and first 100 words. Now I'm starting to build out my first language island. So far the process has been going well, I've used #anki plenty in the past but never took the time to sit down and create my own cards, I do think that makes a big difference but the real test will be when I get deeper into grammar, declensions and conjugations. Learning vocab and pronunciation has never been a struggle for me, my problems always come in when I try to start stringing those words together into sentences. His method seems sound enough to give an honest try though so I'm staying hopeful as I start making my first simple sentence cards 🤞 #Latin #LanguageLearning #Bookstr

Why do they keep trying to shove "smart" features in cars, I don't want to turn up the AC with a fucking iPad, give me a physical knob to turn. If someone made an electric or plugin hybrid that was super basic inside I'd happily buy that. Until then, though, I will never buy a new car.

The way nostr meshes relays to pull content in is so much more "human" feeling than any algorithm based feed. You naturally see the same people pop up everywhere interacting with other people that you've seen pop up. Its like the difference between being in a small town market vs an airport. Helps create a sense of community, even between people you don't generally agree with which is really needed these days
