"He's pissing away emotional money."
- Dude next to me commenting to his girlfriend about his friend's gambling habits
We have Dad's life-time of hand-written sheet music. He's been writing since he was a teenager, including a composition for piano, voice, and violin that he (piano), Mom (voice), and a violinist played at their high school graduation in 1957.
There are hundreds of compositions.
I bet his entire collection could be scanned, feed into A.I., and transformed into music that can be listened to.
Rest in peace, Dad 💛 March 27, 2025
My brother and I have been discussing softer surfaces for Mom to fall onto.
Wall-to-wall carpet and a rubber-floor bathroom are likely the best options.
But tonight I thought of a 3rd option:
Fill the whole house 1-foot-deep with foam packing peanuts.
Which one do you like better?
1. Clean art
2. Distressed art

A.I. is definitely gonna take your job.
My grandparents were born in 1895, long before indoor plumbing, electricity, and automobiles were commonplace.
Before airplanes.
Before television was invented.
They also saw the Apollo 11 moon landing in 1969 - on television.
Entire industries were wiped out and others invented. All within their lifetime.
My first real job was doing paste-up for a newspaper.
Someone you know doesn’t even know what paste-up is. Or that paste-up was an entire industry that employed people for decades. It got utterly wiped out by desktop publishing, PageMaker, Photoshop, and flatbed scanners.
This is badass 💪

And it will be orange.
Saw this flower in the parking lot, so had to take a video.
Bidu Sayão is one of Mom's favorite singers. And this is such a beautiful piece.
And *this* is why I'm spending so much time on the proper Order of Operations on the Testing WordPress WooCommerce site - before applying optimizations to the Live site:
What's the Problem?
WooCommerce’s High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS) relies on foreign keys, which only work with InnoDB table format, *not* MyISAM. This causes several critical issues if MyISAM tables remain in use:
❌ MyISAM does not support foreign key constraints.
⚠️ WooCommerce assumes InnoDB for HPOS tables like wp_wc_order_stats and wp_wc_orders.
🔗 Relational operations (joins, cascades, constraints) will behave unpredictably or silently fail under MyISAM.
🧩 WooCommerce background processes (order stats rebuilds, HPOS migration syncs) may:
- Time out,
- Misreport success,
- Or silently fail.
🛠️ Bottom line: Convert all relevant tables to InnoDB *before* enabling or syncing HPOS.

Optimizing & troubleshooting is like cruising along at highway speed for 2 hours - and covering 130 miles. Then stop-and-go zig-zagging through a construction zone for the next 2 hours - covering 10 miles.
First Dad joke since Dad died five and a half weeks ago.
*Lance, me, and step-Mom are discussing wall colors*
Lance: The color is a bit more mustard than I expected.
Me: Dad would have enjoyed a mustard for sure.
Kitty: Haha, on his sandwich! 🥪
