I wonder whether the people behind reposting accounts from mastonot do actually check replies on #nostr. #asknostr

Why do all my videos feel like an earthquake is ongoing some place near?
Still not sure whether to purchase Procreate. Will it be a overkill for a beginner? I am not sure if I will continue #drawing since I have left several vocations in the past without pushing myself to my limits. What if I leave drawing too? I get it it's not very costly. About 1.3k in INR but i can buy a lunch for 40 INR. So you get the picture. What's your thoughts? #asknostr
I have left all mainstream social media about two years ago. Mostly due to toxic hate. Have not logged in to Facebook for more than three years now. Somehow I have grown a chronic apathy towards all those who are addicted to FB and instagram (I left twitter ages ago - too much toxicity there). Browsing mindlessly all the day, I find them everywhere. During my commute, I sometimes feel sorry for them. I just dont get what people achieve from being fed whatever they are thrown at. Most of these people do not contribute to adding valuable content. They are the ones FB and "influencers" make fool of.
Here in #nostr, there is no algo. It is perhaps the most important reason I spend time here. I see what I want to see. Yes, variety is lacking since most people are busy elsewhere. Better nothing than something worthless.
However, I do believe nostr will meet similar fate once the trolls join. It is inevitable. Still I can see some level of control here. I just wish more and more clients keep adding features to mute trolls and some kind of #ai to proactively identify malicious users. Nostr is in a very nascant stage and most people are "crypto bros". But every now and then, I come across users with similar interests as mine. Makes me feel a little good inside. Feels like those days of early internet when people wanted to meet others just to share their thoughts without having any hidden motive.

Some sucky doodles. ๐ค

Since I took up #drawing, I am amazed by the amount of tutorials and free courses available online. I have taken up several vocations in the past โ in fact, my main job is all thanks to the winderful internet community โ but I have never seen so much content dedicated to a single subject. Mind-blown.
Day 2
Okay, I drew an egg yesterday. Here are two more. Make omlette or scramble.

#drawing #doodle #30daysdrawingchallengeSo the new iPad has arrived. After much consideration and selling my right kidney, I made the purchase. Apart from reading #books, what else can I use it for? I am 36 yo male and have a day job. So drawing and taking notes are out of the way. (I dont know about drawing tho; lots of people claim they started after 30.)

#Reading Marcus du "Sautoy's What We Cannot Know" is really throught-provoking. Halfway through you would probably start questioning our current state of understanding of reality, sometimes bordering on philosophical brain-fucks. It is written in simple lucid way that any layman can easily grasp. Unlike most pop-sci books, author goes deep into the concepts, with occasional quips. Loving the experience so far. #books #readmore #grownostr
Whats better than lying on the bed on a lazy Saturday evening? Nothing.

Amazon and its useless servers. Creates hype for weeks on end about big sale. Cant handle pressure, site goes down. Hopeless assholes.
Kinda relaxed today after a coupla weeks of too much work. Leisure has become so rare for me that I dont know what to do with it. ๐
Andrew Huberman is a blessing to our generation. So many informative and deep discussions available for free. The dude is simply amazing. #podcast
Just finished reading "Future proofing you" by Jay Samit. This book is aimed at budding entrepreneurs and those looking to kickstart their startups. The book takes you on journey of a young man who made $1M in one year. Along the way, the author lays out twelve different "truths" about being successful as an entrepreneur. From building a strong character to improving negotiation skills, the author has carefully chosen the main problems people face on their way to success. The book has tons of success stories from the world of startups. The book ends with an appeal to build sustainable businesses that care for the planet.
Personally, I hate people who introduce a famous person as their friend. "The other evening I had dinner with my friend Christopher Nolan." The author loves to do it this way. Absolutely hated this. But that's a personal preference.
I would rate this book 4/5 and recommend people to read it thoroughly. Quite a few gems in there.
