I just saw someone post today where someone stated: “#Nostr is Decentralized”. Why do folk feel the need to make blanket declarations without any factual backing just for the sake of the shill? IMO #Nostr is a innovative new protocol with huge potential for becoming a truly “decentralized“ solution. But we need to do a lot more a lot work before it can be referred to as a “decentralized!” Trust me. I only state this because I do really like the idea of this tech, but folk need to be more clear on where the tech is now versus where the tech could be in the future... near of far. #SeeSomethingSaySomething

All of the “This-coin” vs. “That-coin” chatter is giving me a headache. THERE IS NO ONE COIN TO RULE THEM ALL. With all of the great technological innovation produced around the ideas of decentralization of power and distribution of control in recent years, there is now so much opportunity to build tech to address our most basic needs, as well as create a less biased global playing field and more egalitarian approach to systems of exchange. My advice to all who believe that their golden calf of a coin is so “perfect“ is: Keep fuck1n9 8u11d1n9!!!!!!! The best solution is only the best until someone figures out a better one. Got a #nostr noob question: reading info about relays and i see that the nodes can “choose” to store notes. 👀 Not sure what that means. How exactly are those “choices” made? Are they done programmatically or by human intervention? Also, how is scalability handled as the storage data on relays as the storage load grows?
