Six months ago, this was just an idea. Today, the **Bitcoin Diploma 2.0** pilot is being taught in **6 public schools across El Salvador**, with **15 teachers**, **6 tutors**, and **hundreds of students** learning about Bitcoin, money, savings, and financial responsibility. The biggest lesson hasn't been about Bitcoin itself—it's been about people. We've seen teachers who had never used Bitcoin become confident enough to teach it. We've seen classrooms filled with questions, curiosity, and meaningful discussions. Every school visit, every mentoring session, and every conversation has helped improve the program. A pilot isn't about proving you're right. It's about learning, adapting, and building something that can last. There's still a lot of work ahead, but seeing Bitcoin education become part of public education is something I never imagined I'd witness firsthand. Bitcoin has never been just about money. At least, it hasn't been for me. Over the last few months, I've been fortunate to help build something I deeply believe in: bringing Bitcoin education into public schools. People often see the milestones, the announcements, the photos, and the metrics. What they don't see are the long nights, the difficult conversations, the changing plans, the uncertainty, the responsibility of making decisions, and the constant effort to earn the trust of teachers, students, institutions, and an incredible team. Building is rarely glamorous. Some days you feel like you're making history. Other days you're simply trying to solve the next problem before tomorrow morning. I've learned that education is proof-of-work. It can't be rushed. It can't be faked. And it certainly can't be measured only by numbers. Every teacher willing to learn something completely new... Every student asking difficult questions... Every tutor giving more than what's expected... Those are the blocks we're actually adding. Bitcoin teaches us to think in decades instead of days. Education teaches us to think in generations instead of semesters. If we get this right, the real impact won't be visible this year. It will be visible years from now, when today's students become builders, entrepreneurs, educators, and leaders who understand freedom, responsibility, and sound money. After more than a year of silence on Nostr, I thought it was time for an update. I haven't disappeared. In fact, this past year has probably been one of the busiest and most meaningful periods of my life. A large part of my time has been dedicated to Bitcoin education in El Salvador. I've had the opportunity to work alongside teachers, school principals, tutors, and educational leaders who are helping bring Bitcoin education into classrooms. What once felt like a bold experiment is gradually becoming a reality, and it has been inspiring to witness the commitment of educators who are willing to learn, adapt, and embrace new ideas for the benefit of their students. My work has involved everything from coordinating educational initiatives and supporting implementation efforts to visiting schools, tracking progress, creating materials, solving operational challenges, and helping build systems that make these programs sustainable. I've learned that meaningful change rarely happens overnight. It is built one conversation, one classroom, one teacher, and one student at a time. Along the way, I've also spent countless hours working on educational content, translations, documentation, and tools that help make Bitcoin knowledge more accessible. Some of that work is visible, but much of it happens behind the scenes. Like many of you who are building, I've learned that progress is often measured not by what gets posted online, but by what gets done consistently every day. At the same time, I've continued to follow the growth of open protocols and decentralized technologies. Bitcoin remains the foundation that brought me into this space, but I've become increasingly interested in the broader movement around digital sovereignty, open-source software, and protocols like Nostr. Bitcoin showed the world that money can exist without centralized control. Nostr is showing us that communication, identity, and social interaction can follow a similar path. That idea continues to inspire me. This past year has also been a lesson in leadership, patience, and responsibility. Working with educators and institutions has given me a deeper appreciation for the people who dedicate their lives to teaching. Real educational transformation isn't flashy. It happens through persistence, collaboration, and the willingness to keep moving forward even when progress feels slow. Looking back, I'm grateful for everyone I've had the chance to work with, learn from, and build alongside. Every school visit, every training session, every challenge, and every success has reinforced my belief that education remains one of the most powerful tools we have to create lasting change. Looking ahead, I'd like to become more active here again. I want to share more about the projects I'm working on, the lessons I'm learning, and the opportunities I see at the intersection of Bitcoin, education, open-source technology, and digital freedom.
