Stoned Man Therory: Smoking weed limits short term memory while high. Due to memory failures, brain has to do more reps in order to process information. Brains thinking departments get gainz. This is how man became gigabrained.

GPT4’s “Bitcoin Lightning Breakdown”⚡️ GPT4, briefly describe what Bitcoin Lightning is and tell me why it is so fast and so cheap. “Bitcoin Lightning is a second-layer solution built on top of the Bitcoin network to enable faster, cheaper, and more scalable transactions. It is so fast and cheap because it operates off-chain, using payment channels between parties to facilitate transactions without requiring every transaction to be recorded on the main blockchain. This reduces transaction fees and speeds up confirmation times, making it ideal for smaller, everyday transactions.” How secure is Bitcoin Lightning? “The Bitcoin Lightning Network is considered secure due to several factors: Smart contracts: Lightning uses hashed time-locked contracts (HTLCs) to ensure that all parties fulfill their obligations when transacting. This prevents fraud and double-spending. Security through Bitcoin: Since the Lightning Network is built on top of the Bitcoin blockchain, it inherits Bitcoin's robust security features. Channel states are regularly updated, and in case of disputes, participants can close the channel and settle on the blockchain. Multi-signature transactions: Lightning channels require multi-signature transactions, meaning both parties must sign off on transactions, adding an extra layer of security. Watchtowers: Third-party services called watchtowers monitor channels for malicious activity and help prevent fraud. However, there are some risks associated with the Lightning Network: Limited capacity: The channels have limited capacity, so large transactions may still need to be settled on the main blockchain, exposing them to the same security vulnerabilities as regular Bitcoin transactions. Centralization concerns: The network relies on well-connected nodes, which could lead to centralization, making it a potential target for attacks. New technology: As a relatively new technology, the Lightning Network may still have undiscovered vulnerabilities that could be exploited by bad actors. While the Lightning Network is generally secure, users should exercise caution and follow best practices to ensure the safety of their funds.”

Many believe that a large language model AI, like GPT-4, is not and will not be capable of general intelligence. I disagree. Both our brains and large language models like GPT-4, on a base level, are pattern recognition machines. You may think “Well our brain is way better at it than GPT-4!”, this is true, but it has also been evolving for millions of years. John Conway’s “Game of Life” is a perfect example of how simple systems can create complex and life like results. The form of AI takes today only needs slight tweaking to create a chain reaction of pattern recognition, which I argue is likely to turn into intelligence/consciousness. Prompting a large language model to create the next prompt and allowing it to measure reality is likely all it would take given enough time and energy. Ask yourself what is life? What is consciousness? You may find we are closer than it appears.
