What if we just... educated people about the base layer and let them onboard themselves instead of holding their hands with custodial wallets. Let them struggle or they'll never learn.

I fucked up. Few weeks ago I bought a used Intel NUC (originally released in 2015) on Ebay. Figured I'd save some money by DIYing a server for StartOS. Ran an update, clicked restart, and it never turned back on. I've been in the process of troubleshooting. Ordered a new power adapter, but it's likely dead. Thank god I never followed through with creating some lightning channels. Would make this way more complicated. Going forward I'm just going to get new hardware. It's worth the extra money and peace of mind. I'll be trusting other nodes in the meantime. Fingers crossed.

Am a lonely bitcoiner in my network of friends & family. It's honestly driving me kinda nuts. I feel like I'm staring at an alien spaceship sent here to save us, but I'm the only one who gives a damn. Or that I'm the only one who can see it altogether. Nobody cares. GF doesn't care. Parents don't care. Brothers don't care. I know I need to be patient, but the halvening is coming. And I can feel the regret reaching back in time slapping me in the face. I'm losing my mind.

@BTC Sessions I listened to your space on Twitter/X with Gary Cardone. He mentioned how he felt that wallets are nowhere close to where they need to be for true adoption. I seriously disagree. As bitcoin's base layer is ossified, wallets will really be competing on a UI/UX level. The best ones will likely have the same features. I honestly believe that a lot of people just need a kick in the ass to stop being lazy. Sovereign wealth carries with it more responsibility. The wallets we have now are amazing and will continue to get better, no question. But how much better do they need to get? I can't really understand that.
